The 2008-2009 School year is already underway. The forensics season does not begin until mid January but we will begin practicing before you know it (in mid December).

Below are the topics for the seasonal speech categories. Now is a great time to start thinking about what you would like to do.

These are the PROPOSED topics for 2008-09. They have been approved by the category committee and executive committee, but will not be official until approved by the membership at the fall meeting on September 20, 2008.

1450-1650: Reformation, Age of Discovery, and High Renaissance

* Public Address
1. Internet Regulation: To what extent, if any, should content on the World Wide Web be regulated?
2. Human Trafficking: What, if anything, should be done to address the worldwide problem of human trafficking?
3. China: What effects did the 2008 Olympics have on the Chinese culturally, economically and/or politically?
4. Origin of Human Life: What should public schools be required to teach with regard to the origin of human life?

Hey Team

Congratulations on another great year. The trophy from Hortonville should be on display in the commons. View it with pride!! Farewell to our seniors: Jessica, Julie, and Shaz. You will be greatly missed. I hope to see the rest of you on the team next year. I will post the topics for 2009 as soon as they become available (Sept 08). Have a great Summer!
